Kitchen Remodel

Remodeling your kitchen can be overwhelming. There are so many options available now, where do you start? It can be as simple as changing the back splash to taking everything down to the studs and starting over.

Figure out your budget. How much can you afford?

Make a list of your must haves.  These would be replacing what is broken or in need of repair.

Now determine if you are going to change the entire flow or replace everything into your existing space.

Then let your imagination flow.  Do you like a lot of color? Are you going to keep it neutral? Take a look at the online sites and create an online book of pictures.  Then narrow them down to the look that you want.

Once you have your ideas, it’s time to choose a contractor. Search online for a general contractor that services your area. Make time to meet with at least 3 of them and ask for references. You want to pick someone that sees your vision and can do it within your budget. You may have to compromise to get the most done for your money.

Get bids from each contractor and compare them. Make sure that your must haves are included in the bid and the contractor answers all of your questions. If they can’t tell you what type of wood your cabinets are going to be made out of, you don’t want to use them.

Be prepared to be inconvenienced while the remodel is taking place.  You may have to use the toaster oven for meals for a little while.

In the end, it will be so worth it!!!

Best of luck and contact us if you would like us to bid on your kitchen remodel.
